Problem with the wheel distance
« on: August 08, 2008, 02:10:45 PM »
Hello European Friends,

Have anybody already assembled the undercarriage? At our first try we realized that the wheel distance with the given parts (undercarriage proposal) is too big for the track width of 90mm.
The Wheel Carrier is 68mm long, with the two Slide-bearing wheel carriers it is 72mm and with the wheels it is all together 92mm long (you can see it in the attached  pictures).
One possibility to reach the needed 90 mm again would be to change the length of the Slide-bearing wheel carriers to a length of 6 mm.
Now we ask you to tell us if the measure of 90 mm for the track width is right!

best regards :),

Dear Dominik,

Welcome to the project.

I just would like to tell you that we had decided that the track gauge of the waggons should be 90 mm. So, in case that your gauge is 92 mm the waggon doesn't fit to the tracks and you have to change the construction.

Many greetings
