Update Control System
« on: October 05, 2012, 10:05:04 AM »
Dear Train Familie,

Here is the first update From Belgium and The Netherlands.

The Netherlands contacted Belguim and we spoke about; the first skype meeting. we are trying to do our first meeting this Monday or Friday. In that meeting we are going to speak about; parts, work seporation and other things.

We had a bit of a delay because we were in the Czeck Republic for one week.

Our next update is the first friday of the month.

With Kind Regards,

Terence van Acquoij

Good Evening from Germany,
here is my update as well.
I thought about some parts to connect the control system with the uperpart and i find some solutions but i will check them first how they work and how much they will cost.
Next month i hope i can show my first prototyps.

Hello Train Familie,

Here is a half update of our work here in The Netherlands and Belgium. We have planned our first meeting here in The Netherlands next friday (9 November). That day we have a conversation about The RF System and we have more things to do here in The Netherlands. so we hope that we have a start next friday. Normally we have a Skype meeting but now is it possible for Belgium to come to The Netherlands.

So, Next update will be friday 9 November or monday 12 November. I hope we know something more about the RF System.

Dear Lukas,
we are happy too!!  :D
Do you think it will be possible to post on the forum some pictures or a short video about the prototypes?
Thanks

Dear Michele,
at the moment the prototypes are only virtual, so right now there arent build up.

Dear Terence,
we need the information, if we have a on going signal or only an impuls to switch the uperpart on.

Greetings Lukas

Dear Control System Group

When you meet on Friday can you discuss something that affects the Panel and Desk Group?
That is the depth of Desk required for the controls. At the moment we have a prototype of 100mm deep.
However if less space is required we would like to know because a thinner desk will look better I think.

Kind regards
John

Hi John,

Yes we will discuss that. We can give you the answer on monday (i hope).
But i think 100mm is enough.

Greetz.

[NL]

so do you send a pulse when it starts one time for the beginning (and we will develop something that the waggon is powered for about 30 sec)
or will u give us a starting-impulse and a end-impulse (after about 30 sec)?

thanks and
greetings
Manuel

Hello Dominik,

Thanks a lot for the update and especially for the pictures!  ;)

I have only few questions:
For me is not clear how the system will works. Will we have a transmitter circuit for each country button on the panel and one receiver (with the same frequency) on the corresponding wagon?
What are the final dimensions of the devices and what kind of energy supply they will need?

Regards

Michele

Hello,

Dimensions of module -   4*4*1 centimeters + batteries.
In our concept we have only one transmitter for all the wagons and one resisever on each wagon (country).
Transimter will be programed for each wagon. So 1 TX and 25 RX.

Did we know the maximum dimensions for RX on wagons ? If I got it right Brent said that we have 12*5*2 centimeters max dimensions.
