European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2010
« on: March 15, 2010, 01:28:33 AM »
Dear European friends!

Here we go with very good news:

We are very happy to tell you that our application was successful and our project ???European CNC-Network ??? Train for EUROPE??? has won the National German Competition of European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2010 last week.  :) :) :)

So the first step is done!!!

Now our ???Train for EUROPE??? will be in the Final European Competition Round. The European jury consisting of three MEPs and the President of the European Parliament, four representatives of the Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen will select the winner from the 27 projects submitted by national juries by 8 April 2010.

The prize for the best project will be ??? 5000, for the second ??? 3000 and for the third ??? 2000. Representatives of the 27 national projects selected will be invited to the award ceremony in Aachen, Germany on 11 May 2010. The prizes for the best three projects will be presented by the President of the European Parliament and representative of the Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen.

As part of the prize, the laureates will be invited to visit the European Parliament (in Brussels or in Strasbourg). My idea is to arrange another Preparatory Visit there to present again the ???Train for EUROPE??? at the holy halls of European Parliament and to prepare further activities and details regarding to our ???Train for EUROPE ??? RELOADED???.

You will find more details of European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2010 here:
http://www.charlemagneyouthprize.eu/view/en/rules.html (Englisch Version)
http://www.charlemagneyouthprize.eu/view/de/rules.html (German Version)

Here you can have a look to all National winner projects:
http://www.charlemagneyouthprize.eu/view/en/nationalwinner2010.html

Furthermore you will find the official press release of European Parliament and an article of regional newspaper AZ Bad Kreuznach (both only as German Version) in attachment.

If we really will win this price, we would like to buy a showcase for our ???Train for EUROPE??? to present this famous project in the foyer of BBS TGHS Bad Kreuznach. In case there will be some money left (and I hope so), we should use this money to push the ???Train for EUROPE ??? RELOADED??? ???

So,
it???s time to cross our fingers now,
so that our ???Train for EUROPE??? will be successful in this European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2010 Competition!!!

Many greetings
